Why Food?

Well, for one thing food doesn't talk back, or get hyper. It pays attention and does what it's told. It doesn't get shy on the big day and decide it doesn't want its picture taken, and food doesn't have a mother-in-law.

I kid, but put simply - food photography fits my temperament. I'm attracted to bold colors and textures and I try to show those qualities in my photographs. Food that tastes good should look good, too.

I photograph food to showcase the talents of the people that make it. A well-done food photograph captures not only the essence of the dish, but the personality of the chef and the soul of the photographer, as well. The image heightens expectations, quickens the pulse, and sets the mouth watering in anticipation.

That is why food.
